The Chenango Forks Central School District is governed by a five (5) member School Board. School Board Members volunteer their time to represent the community for a term of five (5) years. Any US citizen who is a resident of the Chenango Forks School District and 18 years of age can serve as a Board of Education Member by being elected. The process starts by obtaining a nomination petition. Please contact the district clerk to obtain a form.
The School Board is a policy making, planning and appraisal body. The School Board sets the course for the District and employs a Superintendent of Schools to carry out their policies and oversee the day to day operations.
At the Board of Education regular and reorganization meeting held on July 10, 2014, Mr. Don Edwards was re-elected Board President and Mr. Spyros Dimatos was re-elected Vice President for the 2014-2015 school year.
Mr. Ken Starr joined the board replacing Mrs. Melissa Stephens. We welcome Mr. Starr and thank Mrs. Stephens for her dedicated service to the board.
