Welcome to the Chenango Forks Central School District. My name is Lloyd “Joe” Peck, Ed.D, and I am the District Superintendent of Schools. Our school district is located in a growing, dynamic community in Broome County that blends the excitement of change with the assurance of tradition. Our district is comprised of one main campus with a connected high school and middle school and an adjacent elementary school a few hundred yards away.

In response to the wide spectrum of interests and talents represented in our student population of approximately 1,600 (pre-K through grade 12), the district provides an extensive number of interscholastic athletic programs and extracurricular activities as well as a complete range of academic coursework. All of the K-12 curricula is based upon the New York State Common Core Learning Standards and is aligned with the NYS Grades 3-8 Assessment Program and the NYS Grades 9-12 Regents Examination Program. Several electives developed by members of the Chenango Forks Central School District faculty are available for local credit as well. We also partner with SUNY Broome, Tompkins Cortland Community College, Syracuse University, and the State University of New York at Albany to offer our students a variety of college level courses.

As superintendent, I bring over 12 years of experience in K-12 administration. I was the high school principal at Watertown High School, house principal at Albany High School and K-8 principal at Southside Academy School. I began my career as a social studies teacher, teaching for six years before going into administration. My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in political science and a certificate of advanced studies from the State University of New York at Oswego, and a master’s degree in education from LeMoyne College. In June 2013, I received my doctorate from Walden University, majoring in Administrator Leadership for Teaching and Learning. I am currently working on another master's degree in Business Management through the State University of New York at Oswego.

I am also a member of the New York State Council of School Superintendents and Broome County Chief School Administrator Association.
