Lyndsey Stone, Danielle Silvanic, Kaitlyn Walsh and Aidan Houlihan won scholarships, accolades and bragging rights at the annual Greater Binghamton Scholastic Challenge.

Stone, Silvanic and Walsh set up shop with their organic, dairy-free ice cream shop, Utterly Udderless won the food services category award and a $100 per-student scholarship. Houlihan won the STEM category award and the top individual award for “Pear-Omones” an idea that genetically modifies fruit seeds using insects as indicators to indicate optimum harvest times. Students then presented their idea to a panel of judges.

Chenango Forks sent a large contingent of students. Seventeen teams and more than 40 students across grades 9-12. Schools from across Broome and Tioga Counties were present.
