3/19/20 - Update on Children's Home Wyoming Conference:  Students attending Day School will or have already received packets of work designed to enrich/review previously taught concepts. Packages were delivered to Day School students yesterday that contained groceries, games/activities, books and academic packets of enrichment and review materials. Teachers and social workers will be touching base with students and families at least once per week.

Grab & Go Meals:  For all children 18 years old and younger will be available for pickup beginning Monday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at the lower CFE entrance.  This is a drive-up service, please stay in your vehicles.  Students may walk and pick up food.

Committee on Preschool Education (CPSE):  Most providers of therapy/programming are contacting families directly to notify if services are canceled. If you do not hear from your child's provider and need information, please email Trish Kuhl at [email protected].

Broome County Head Start
All Opportunities for Broome Head Start classes, in conjunction with all Broome County public schools, will be suspended from Monday, March 16 through Monday, March 13.  We are working to plan and respond to this emerging issue in order to continue to make the safety of our children, parents, and staff the main focus of our decision-making process.

Institute for Child Development, Binghamton University
ICD Preschool & Early Intervention: After speaking with BCHS and the Broome County Executive's Office, we have decided to close the CUTE/Autism Program, ICD Preschool for EI program for the week of 3/16-3/20.  We will be in touch with these offices through the week and if a decision is made to closed for longer, we will let you know.

ICD School Age:  We will follow in line with district closing.  ICD will be informing parents of learning opportunities going forward.

Children's Home Day School:  Day school students should not come to school at the Children's Home while their home district is closed.  Social workers will email links to parents, providing them with engaging websites for their children to use.

BOCES Special Education Classrooms (Reclaims, Crossroads, PALs, MOVES, Oaktree & Futures):  Instruction for students with disabilities will focus on preventing regression in their IEP goals.  BOCES will contact families directly.  To every extent possible, they will implement as much of the IEP (services, related services, accommodations) as they can without being face-to-face with students.  For those students with disabilities who are working toward a regular diploma, instruction will also focus on the core content and those classes needed for credit.
