From time to time inappropriate behavior is displayed by a visitor, student or facutly member at a school event.
Procedures for public conduct at school events have been developed by the administrative team, which utilizes "BOE Policy #5600.65-Public Conduct on School Property."
The procedures are intended to lessen the confrontational situations coaches and other staff members may find themselves in with visitors. It is hoped, that through our educational efforts, these incidents will lessen. The single largest deterrent in finding and keeping good staff members involved in extracurricular activities, especially coaches for sports teams, is inappropriate visitor behavior. It is hoped that these procedures will clearly define expected behavior for all visitors at all school events.
