Chenango Forks- 8th Grade Science
Eighth grade Physical Science will be covering introductory Chemistry and Physics. We will be completing many labs and some projects throughout the year in order to best model the learning that occurs in the classroom.
8th grade students will be taking the NYS Intermediate Science Test. The first component will be given in May. This portion consists of lab work. The second component, a written test, will be the first Monday in June.
Students in grades 6-9 are invited to join the Chenango Forks Middle School Science Olympiad team. We meet on Thursdays in room 52. As we get closer to our February competition, there will be having additional meetings held on Fridays and Saturdays.
We can send 15 students in as a team- but we welcome others to help those 15 prepare for the competition! For more information about the competition, visit
