Prior to being appointed as the PK-5 principal of Chenango Forks Elementary School, Ms. Kacyvenski was a principal of a neighboring middle school for approximately three years and an assistant principal at Marietta Sixth Grade Academy for five years. Prior to her administrative experience she taught 9th-12th grade English for Marietta City Schools and Cobb County Schools.

Ms. Kacyvenski holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/Secondary Education, a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Specialist in Administration, and recently completed the coursework for the Superintendent Development Program. Ms. Kacyvenski is also a member of the State Association of Administrators of New York State.

Ms. Kacyvenski believes that building a culture of achievement within the school community is needed to facilitate high quality learning and development which is much a part of the Chenango Forks School District. She will work to create a culture of achievement through the development of positive relationships.

Prior to becoming the Chenango Forks Elementary Assistant Principal in 2019,  Miss Elwyn served as the CFE Dean of Students from 2017-2019, while she completed her Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership at Binghamton University.  Before she joined the Chenango Forks community, Miss Elwyn taught 7th and 8th grade Italian at Jennie F. Snapp Middle School in the Union- Endicott School District.  

Miss Elwyn holds a Bachelors of Science in Childhood Education from Buffalo State University, a Masters of Science in Education with a focus in Literacy Education and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from Binghamton University.

Miss Elwyn is dedicated to helping all students succeed through building positive relationships, helping students develop strong character and meeting students’ individual needs.  Miss Elwyn is proud to be part of the Forks Nation!
