The Chenango Forks Boys Varsity Swimming and Diving Team is the Class C Champion!
Results from the 2021 Section IV Class C Championship were announced late Monday evening, March 1, 2021. Teams from Waverly, Greene, Chenango Forks, Lansing, Southern Cayuga, Susquehanna Valley, Odessa-Montour and Watkins Glen swam remotely in their home pools on Feb. 25 and March 1.
Chenango Forks took home the win with 459.5 points, followed by Waverly at 353.5 points and Lansing with 268.5 points.
Competition highlights included the 400 Free Relay, with the team of Aiden Hopkins, John Cadden, Caleb McPeek, and Jack Humphrey clicking in at 3:40.26 and nabbing first place.
Also taking first place was Brendan Heaney in the 100 Breastroke, with a time of 1:05.55. Brendan Samsel came in first place in diving, with a score of 343.10.
Led by Coaches Ken Starr and Kelly Hillis, the following students make up the 2020-2021 Boys Varsity Swim Team: Thomas Hillis, Kailen Doig, Rory Brennan, Conway Mallory, Jacob Zajdel, Dominic Balcom, Emerson Moore, Kory Pospisil, Carmine Gross, Thomas Kapinus, Aiden Hopkins, John Cadden, Corbin Fetterman, Jonathan Hozepma, Frederick Moses, Cooper Confer, Landon Goetz, Benjamin Clarner, Evan O'Brien, Brenden Samsel, Vincent Vavra, Brendan Heaney, Caleb McPeek, Philip Neville, Jonathan Gregory, Anthony Schultz, Jack Humphrey and Olekandr Kolodych.
