HS art department purchases green screen with grant from WSKG

Our high school art department purchased a portable green screen using grant money provided by
WSKG Public TV & Radio
. The grant was awarded to the school for its participation in two of WSKG’s projects: the Portraits and Dreams project that recently ended in December, and the upcoming PBS American Portrait series.

WSKG not only framed the students photographs for the American Portrait series, but provided the school with a portable green screen, some camera and sound equipment, and portable lighting.

The CFTV Sports Jumbotron Team will now be able to stream sporting events when asked and create the weekly CF Sports Update program. The crew will also be able to go to sports teams’ locations to film scoreboard videos. In the past, when they’ve created video vignettes for the scoreboard, the athletes had to come to the Sports Jumbotron Team because their screen wasn’t mobile. But now that it’s portable, the team can take it with them and make life more convenient for our athletes and coaches.

This equipment will help students develop better content in a more professional way for the scoreboard and athletic streaming services. But it will also be used by art students for some neat projects in the classroom.

Thank you so much to WSKG for the grant that allowed us to purchase this equipment, and to our students for participating in these projects!
