This site gives "Lessons" with examples in one section, then go to the "Practice" section for the same particular topic. For 8th grade, try the Jr. Algebra 6-8 course and for the advanced class can go to Algebra 1.
Regents Review
This is a good site for your high school student, or your 8th grader who is taking the Algebra course.
Khan Academy
The creator of this site was funded by Bill Gates and he offers many topics to review. The students listen to an explanation while the problem is demonstrated on the screen. If you register, there are ways to keep track of your progress and achievements.
NYS Module Lessons
This is the website NY State provides for resources in learning the Common Core Curriculum. Within the site, there is a Parent Resources tab for more information.
BrainPop
You may have to register or subscribe to this one; I haven't fully explored it myself yet. The kids like it since it's game-oriented.
Cool Math
Most of you are familiar with this site: play some games--review some skills!
Free rice for MATH!
Once in the site, change the subject to "math" and calculate away to earn food for other countries!
Hot Math
This site is for help with problems from the "blue" book. After selecting "Middle Math Series" on the website, look for "Passport to Mathematics, Book 2". We don't use the book for homework so you don't really need this site.
