On Tuesday, six Chenango Forks eighth grade students attended Middle School Engineering Day at the Broome-Tioga BOCES campus. Middle school students from Broome and Tioga Counties attended. After being introduced to the concept of a Rube Goldberg machine, teams of students worked collaboratively for over two hours to create the longest and most complicated machine they could build - with the end goal of ringing a bell. Each team then explained their machine and ran it for a set of judges. Students also learned about various engineering programs offered in the area.

Our team did an excellent job problem solving this challenge! For more photos from the day, scroll through the gallery below or visit our Facebook page.
