High School students compete in Southern Tier Robotics Competition

Adam Niemic's High School Robotics Class entered three teams in the Southern Tier Robotics Competition at SUNY Broome Community College on Tuesday, April 5.

One team competed in the Forklift Challenge, and two competed in the Swept Away Challenge.

Mike Rullo and Jack Driscoll placed third through a 3-way-tie for scoring the most points possible for the competition. Kamden Barnes, Nazariy Kovalchuck and Hunter Bloodgood were runners up. They may not have scored a “place,” but they competed very well!

Our students not only participated in the competition, but learned more about the field of robotics, with a demonstration by a bomb squad robot showing students what "real" robots do in life.

Congratulations to all of our students who attended this event and thank you to SUNY Broome, Broome-Tioga BOCES and STEM Hub for holding this event!
