Norah Mahar is undefeated at 2 singles and this week played an awesome match against SV, coming back to win 9-8 with the tiebreak score of 7-3. Norah is also a leader on our team and encourages each teammate to do their best. Congratulations, Norah!

Braeden Krisko is a senior captain for the Forks tennis team. He’s a three-year varsity tennis player and plays 3 singles. Braeden will be attending Sacred Heart University in Fairfield Connecticut and majoring in Game Design and Development. Congrats, Braeden!

Quinn Sirgany
Quinn Sirgany is now tenth in the 2K steeple and fifth in the 4x8 steeple relay all-time for CF.  She works very hard in practice and ran a big race in the 400H last week helping us beat Norwich by three points. Quinn also plays soccer and basketball. Congratulations, Quinn!

Matt Brewster is our baseball team's top hitter, plays great defense and is a great leader. This week he leads the team in batting average and on-base percentage .400 & OPS .800. Matt is also a standout center for our football team. Congratulations, Matt!

Ryan Joseph and Ray Austin
Ryan Joseph and Ray Austin were two of our Varsity Football captains, two-way starters and helped lead our team to a 6-0 season. They connected on a 28 yard TD pass in last weekends game vs. Maine-Endwell and were stellar on D as well. Congrats, RJ & Ray!

Audra Ackerson
In Audra Ackerson’s first Cross County Meet she finished third overall, running 15:54 over a 2.15 mile course and helping our girls win the quad meet. On Saturday Audra turned in another strong performance as our number two runner, running 22:56 over the 2.94 mile course. Congrats, Audra!

Tyler Truesdail and Tyler Hayes
Tyler Truesdail and Tyler Hayes are two big reasons our offense has rushed for 355 yards per game. Tyler and Tyler also make up the inside of our D Line that has given up just 76 yards per game and have helped lead our team to a 4-0 start. Congrats, Tyler and Tyler!

Phoebe Humphrey 
Phoebe Humphrey is our big senior right side hitter who is definitely a leader on and off the court. She had an incredible week with a total of 20 kills between the games against Windsor and SV.

David Lavrinovich and Connor Bryant are second-year center back starters who have done an outstanding job on defense. Connor and David have led our defense that has allowed only one goal or less in 7 of 9 games played this season. Congrats, David and Connor!

Senior captain Bella Hovancik is an outstanding leader on our basketball team who thrives defensively and leads our team in rebounds. Bella has a GPA over 100 and is ranked third in her class. She also plays volleyball and softball. Congratulations, Bella!

Senior Captain Anthony Schultz swam 24.06 in the 50 Free, a 58.84 in the 100 Free and was a key part of our 200 Medley Relay. Anthony was also a member of the 200 Free Relay that was ranked top 5 in Section IV. Congratulations, Anthony!

Trent Bender is our leader in steals and has been our leading scorer each of our last two games, averaging 12.5 in road wins at Norwich and Windsor. Trent is also a standout on our baseball team. Congratulations, Trent!

In our first swim meet of the season last Friday at Owego, Brendan Heaney placed first in the 200 IM, 100 Breast, 200 Medley and 200 Free relays. Brendan was also a finalist in each of his events in last year’s sectionals. Congratulations Brendan!

In our first two matches of the season, Jozzlyn Hall’s game high 220 led our team on Monday, while Jess Hall rolled a 186 and team high 479, leading us to a victory over Owego on Wednesday. Congrats Jozzlyn & Jessica!

Cooper Rice
Cooper Rice has won a sectional wrestling title in the 106 lb. weight class and was runner up in the section at 126 lbs. a year ago. He has a career record of 92-45 and has been working hard in our wrestling workouts. Congratulations, Cooper!

Aubrey Bough was a Third Team All State player last fall. She was also a STAC All-Star in 2018 and 2019, and played on our NYS Champion team in 2018. We’re looking forward to watching Aubrey and the rest of our team play in March. Congrats, Aubrey!

Alex Kalivoda
Alex Kalivoda was an All-STAC Midfielder, a Greene Tournament All-Star and scored the winning goal in the sectional quarterfinals vs. Owego a year ago. He also scored 10 goals and had eight assists. Soccer season is set to start on March 1. Congrats Alex!

Ray Austin played QB and S on our NYS Championship football team last season and is working very hard this fall. He was also an all-state honorable mention selection. Fall sports are scheduled to start March 1. Ray is also a standout in baseball. Congrats, Ray!

Rachel Williams has put forth tremendous effort in our cheer workouts so far this season. Last year, Rachel cheered for our team, which won a STAC Championship, finished fifth in New York State and competed at the Nationals in Orlando. Congratulations, Rachel!

In addition to working hard at our practices, senior Nathan Gabriel was named first team defense LSM Div. III for our lacrosse team in 2019. We’re looking forward to watching Nate play in the spring, which is set to begin April 19. Congrats Nate!
