Non-Traditional Music

Non-Traditional Music is a new elective being offered this year at Chenango Forks. Below is the description of the course, more details to come soon!
Students will have an opportunity to explore music outside of the the traditional music ensembles setting. Students will gain musical knowledge of many non-traditional instruments from around the world, such as ukulele, African Drumming, and rock band instruments.
Throughout this course students will be performing, improvising and evaluating their playing of the music and instruments they are playing. Students will also gain a contextual knowledge of the cultures the instruments and music being studied in each unit are from.
