Fork Alum

CHENANGO FORKS — Members of the class of 1973 gathered over the past summer to commemorate their 50th reunion. The highlight of the festivities included an exclusive tour of their alma mater, the local high school. For many attendees, this marked their first return to the school since their graduation.

Approximately half of those who participated in the tour traveled from out of state to join the celebration, underscoring the enduring connections formed during their years together. Notably, Gerry Smith, a distinguished member of the CF Hall of Fame, took on a pivotal role as the primary organizer of the reunion.

The event provided an opportunity for former classmates to reconnect, reminisce about their shared experiences, and rekindle friendships that have stood the test of time. The tour of the high school offered a nostalgic journey through the corridors of memory, evoking stories and anecdotes from their formative years.

As the class of '73 celebrated this momentous milestone, the efforts of Gerry Smith and the collective spirit of the alumni community were evident, highlighting the significance of this remarkable event.
