I have lived in the district for almost 40 years. My husband and I both graduated from Chenango Forks in 1993. We lived in Philadelphia before moving back to the district to raise our family. Before children I was an elementary school teacher. I am a stay-at-home parent and work at Sirgany Eyecare.
We have four children. Our daughter is a sophomore in college. Our three boys are currently enrolled at CF, a senior, sophomore and the youngest in eighth grade.
I have always been in involved in the school district and community. While my children were in CFE, I was active in the PTA and then PTO. Soccer is a major part of our family starting with CF Empire Soccer Club. I am currently the Boys Soccer Booster Vice President and the Boys Basketball Booster President. I am also involved in the Tennis program and the Track and Field Boosters. I have been a parent representative for several committees within the school.
I am running for the school board because I have a strong compassion for our students, families and school. My history and involvement have prepared me to serve as a board member. Our experiences and connections as a family give me diversity and connections within our school community.
I hope to serve as a board member to help work toward guiding our district in the best direction possible.
