In June 2025, the Chenango Forks High School Band participated in Make Music Day, a national initiative organized by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) in partnership with Alfred Music, the NAMM Foundation, and MakeMusic Inc.
As part of the celebration, the band submitted video performances of “Critical Impact” composed by Brian Balmages, showcasing the high school band’s talents. In addition to their performance, several band members shared personal testimonials reflecting on how music education has positively shaped their lives.
For their outstanding participation, the Chenango Forks High School Band was awarded $250 to use towards any music materials on www.alfred.com.
