The Broome-Tioga School Boards Association is offering a free public workshop for individuals interested in learning more about serving as a school board member. This session will feature a panel of current school board members, administrators, and legal experts, along with a question-and-answer period and take-home materials for participants.
Topics will include school board member responsibilities, expectations of colleagues and administrators, legal responsibilities and election procedures, and the challenges of public service. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at Broome-Tioga BOCES, Allen D. Buyck Instructional Support Center, Conference Room A.
