On Thursday, March 26, the Chenango Forks Central School District was honored to host the 2026 Annual Joint Dinner, sponsored by the Broome-Tioga Association of Chief School Administrators, the Broome-Tioga School Boards Association and the Organization of Instructional Representatives. The event welcomed district administrators and school board members from across the region and provided an opportunity to strengthen connections with fellow educational leaders.guests at dinner

As the host district for this year’s dinner, Chenango Forks was proud to showcase the talents and leadership of its students throughout the evening. Guests enjoyed musical selections performed by the high school jazz ensemble, the elementary chorus and the high school select chorus, all of which highlighted our incredible music department.

Our student leaders from the middle school and high school were actively involved in the event, serving as greeters to welcome guests, providing tours of the district’s new aquatics center and STEAM areas, assisting with event setup, and serving as the evening’s wait staff. Their participation offered an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their leadership skills.

The district was also pleased to welcome Chenango Forks alumnus Troy Nickerson as the evening’s keynote speaker. During his time at Chenango Forks, Nickerson became the first five-time New York State high school wrestling champion and is currently the head wrestling coach at Army West Point. Nickerson shared his insights on the key characteristics of effective leadership.

The Chenango Forks Central School District extends its appreciation to all who helped make the evening a success.
