We are pleased to announce that the Chenango Forks Central School District received a $10,000 grant through Cornell University’s Agricultural Education and Outreach program’s 2021-2022 Agricultural Education Incentive Grant for New and Growing Programs.
The grant will be used toward establishing an agricultural education elective in Chenango Forks Middle School for the 2022-2023 school year. It will also help provide afterschool agricultural education for our middle school students.
In addition, the Chenango Forks Central School District plans to explore opportunities for agricultural course offerings for high school students during the 2023-2024 school year.
Chenango Forks is one of 117 school-based agricultural education and FFA programs being supported by this grant.
We’d like to thank Cornell University and the New York State FFA (Future Farmers of America) for selecting Chenango Forks as the recipient of this grant. We are eager to bring agricultural education to our district.
