We are thrilled to introduce Jen Young, our new Assistant Principal at Chenango Forks Elementary School! Jen joins our district after serving as a Special Education Teacher at the CR Weeks Elementary School in Windsor for 15 years.
Jen is certified in Special Education and Elementary Education for grades 1-6, has a Master’s Degree in Literacy for birth through 6th grade and is working on her Educational Leadership degree at @binghamtonu. She has experience working with students in all grade levels at the elementary level.
Jen grew up in Chenango Valley until sixth grade and later moved to Chenango Forks. She lives in West Windsor with her husband and two children. She said she chose to work in Chenango Forks after having a wonderful experience as a student and graduate of the district.
“I have always loved the community surrounding this district and I have family members who still live in this community,” Jen says.
Jen is looking forward to forming relationships with students, teachers and families at the CFE.
“I am also looking forward to supporting the teachers and students in their learning journeys,” she adds.
This summer, you’re most likely to find her on a baseball field somewhere in the area! She has two baseball-playing boys — 11-year-old Alex and 8-year-old Landon — and Jen is their #1 fan!
