Mrs. Paludi and Mrs. Shoudy’s Middle School Health Club hosted their annual Thanksgiving meal for 40 club students and building administrators. The students prepared recipes including homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, a pumpkin dessert and more. The students and staff enjoyed the meal together in the student activity area and then helped with the ALL clean up! What a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season!

Chenango Forks Middle School students attended Lockheed Martin's annual Women in STEM event last week. At the event, Lockheed Martin employees lead the girls through several stations, where they were able to experience working as an engineer. The students toured the helicopter hangar, designed and built catapults, worked with electrical circuits, and flew in the cockpit of a helicopter using a flight simulator.

In Mrs. Hantsch's Agriculture class, our students had a Farm-to-Table experience! Students have been caring for chickens at the school, and recently had the opportunity to make various dishes using the eggs from the chickens. They enjoyed fried eggs, scrambled eggs, and omelets!



Shoe Collection Success! With the help of our amazing students, community, faculty, and staff, the Chenango Forks Middle School Student Council was able to collect over 150 pairs of shoes to help the people negatively impacted by the recent hurricanes. Thank you for all your support!

CFMS HEALTH CLUB: Mrs. Paludi and Mrs. Shoudy’s Middle School Health Club is learning about agriculture through growing plants in a hydroponic grow tower. Students have been watering the plants each day and will be learning to check the pH level this week. As these plants grow, they will be able to utilize the greens and herbs in recipes that they prepare!

SHOE DONATIONS: The Chenango Forks Middle School Student Council is collecting gently used shoes to support hurricane victims in Florida. Your donations can help families in need rebuild their lives. Middle School Students can drop shoes off in the SAA next to the nurse's office. Members of the public can drop off at the High School Visitor's Entrance!

NEW ENERGY LAB VISIT: NY-BEST, Southern Tier 8, Binghamton University, Koffman Incubator, HiT Nano, and RIT recently visited the BT-BOCES Clean Energy & Battery Storage program at our high school. They explored our innovative curriculum and cutting-edge technologies that are helping shape the future of sustainable energy. We’re proud to be at the forefront of this growing industry and to inspire the next generation of clean energy leaders!
