The CFE fifth-grade band and chorus students put on a wonderful performance at their Winter Concert Wednesday evening! The chorus sang four songs, with their final number, “The Fox” leaving a smile on the faces of both the students and the audience! The band played two songs, and it was a very impressive performance, as most students have only had 10-11 lessons since beginning with their instruments!
Thank you, Mr. Allport and Mr. Tellerday for guiding our students on their musical journey!

CFE classrooms were full of joy when Santa made a surprise visit! Students chatted with him about their favorite cookie flavors, talked about sprinkling reindeer food, and even got Santa to join a P.E. class

Our CFE students kicked off Winter Recess in the best way possible- with our annual Holiday Sing-Along! Everyone joined in to sing holiday classics, and the fun continued with an exciting game of "Name That Tune" led by Mrs. Birch and Mrs. Young.
And of course, no holiday celebration is complete without a visit from the one and only Santa Claus!

Spreading holiday cheer! Students at CFE made holiday cards for residents at the Oxford Veterans Home and Willow Point Nursing Home! Student council representative Audra Brooks made a special delivery of beautiful cards, reminding everyone that they are loved and appreciated.

This week CFE First grade students took the stage for the Holidays Around the World assembly. Each class shared the rich traditions and customs of countries like France, Italy, Israel, and Mexico.
Each student participated in the presentations, which included songs and dances. It was a wonderful way to spread joy, culture, and holiday cheer.

Excitement was in the air at CFE’s recent Rise and Shine assemblies! Our students have been crushing their RAY (Read All Year) reading goals, turning in their logs, and have reached their first milestone of minutes read!
To celebrate, Mrs. Birch showed her bravery by taking a pie to the face—much to the delight of our cheering students! The auditorium was filled with laughter and joy as the reward unfolded.
Way to go, CFE readers! Keep up the amazing work and we can't wait to see what goals you achieve next!

Thank you to Mr. Flannery for leading our Rise and Shine Assembly today for our 3rd through 5th grade students. The focus of this assembly was on teaching students how to stand up for themselves if they are being bullied. Congratulations to our students who are "Leading The Way" this week!

Today, it was Kindergarten's turn to spread some holiday cheer! Families gathered at CFE this morning for a joyful holiday sing-along, where our Kindergarten students delivered performances of holiday favorites like Frosty the Snowman and Must Be Santa. It was a wonderful morning of music and festive fun enjoyed by all!

Thank you for Mrs. Saroka's class for leading our Rise and Shine assembly today for our students in PreK-Second grade. The focus of this assembly was on the habit of "Beginning with the End in Mind". Congratulations to our students who are "Leading the Way" this week!

Yesterday Mrs. Marvin's class awarded Mrs. Marbles Pre-K class with their classroom "moose on the loose"! Their moose friend sat quietly in class and kept an eye on the students during their learning and activities for the day. At the end of the day, he reported his findings back to Mrs. Mavin's third grade class. He was a fun addition to the Pre-K classroom!

The CFE Student Council made an incredible impact with their first community outreach program! Students organized a collection of winter gear, including hats, fuzzy socks, and gloves, all to contribute to the CF Holiday Basket program. We are so proud of our students for supporting those in need within their school community.

Chenango Forks Elementary students participated in a Thanksgiving balloon parade, inspired by the book Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet. Students created their own balloons to parade through the halls of CFE, which were decorated with student artwork to represent the skyline of New York City. A big thank you to Mrs. Weir and Mrs. Dvorsky for organizing this wonderful event!
