Day 3 of the DC Trip is complete. Students visited the US Capitol for a tour and Arlington National Cemetery. Here they saw the eternal flame of JFK, Robert E. Lee's mansion, and the Changing of the Guard Ceremony. All made it home safe and sound. It was great trip!

Day 2 of the Washington, DC trip is in the books! Today, students visited multiple museums (American History, Natural History, Native American), along with the Archives museum to see the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights. They also visited many monuments including FDR, MLK, Washington, Lincoln Memorial, WWII, and Vietnam. Finally, they were able to enjoy the performance of Shear Madness at The Kennedy Center.

Our 8th grade students are off to a great start in Washington, DC. On Day 1, we visited Mount Vernon (the home of George Washington), George Washington's tomb, the White House, the Jefferson Memorial, and then finished the day with a baseball game at the Washington Nationals!
