PLANETARIUM: Mrs. Laine's college astronomy class and put on planetarium shows in the STEAM room for all of the 5th grade classes with the digital planetarium. This was a great addition to their space unit in science class. The high school students and showed them notable constellations, stars, galaxies, daily and yearly motions, how to find your way in the sky, traveled to other planets, and much more. A fun and informative time was had by all!




ART TRIP: Rosko and Doolittle's Art Exploration class had the opportunity to visit the Binghamton University Corning Museum of Glass exhibit. Forks Alum Jenn Dayton was one of our tour guides who walked them through the educational experience. Students were given the opportunity to create a piece of stained class at the end for an artistic creation!




TENNIS FUNDRAISER: Coming up this Sunday!

LIFE SKILLS: Students in our 'Adulting: Life Hacks' class were given an opportunity to work with Transportation and Safety Coordinator, Jason Hibbard. They were taught how to finance and maintain a car as well as what you should do if you have been in an accident.

FUNDRAISER: The Chenango Forks Art Club will be hosting a 50/50 Raffle Fundraiser FRIDAY at the California Grill in Vestal (a CF Family-owned restaurant).
Art Club members will be selling tickets all week, and we will be selling tickets at the Grill Friday from 5:00-8:00 and live stream the ticket drawings at the Grill at 8:15 PM Friday night.
First prize is, as usual, half the total ticket sales and second prize is a signed hard cover copy of Stephen Kings novel “Dreamcatcher”.

COSTA RICA: While our French Club has taken on the north, our Costa Rica Club has taken on the south! They have been spending their Spring Break in the gorgeous county learning about culture, education, and much more! (Did we mention this is a class you can take at our high school? How cool is that?)





CFE students spent last week guessing who was behind yet another splash of color in our stair well. A special thank you goes out to Mrs. Collier, Mrs. Wheelock, Miss Tanner, and Ms. Janda for these colorful reminders. Tell your students to keep their eyes peeled for more.


Bonjour! While we might not be on campus this week, some of our extracurricular clubs have taken on other countries! Our French Club is in the beautiful city of Montreal! Bon Voyage!


The STTA class joined the other local STTA programs on a visit to Binghamton University to learn about the BU Food Pantry and explore pathways to becoming teachers through BU's undergraduate education minor and the university's graduate level educational program. Dr. Matthew McConn, TLEL department chair, and a panel of six future educators, provided the students with valuable information about teaching and learning to round out a wonderful day.


REMINDER: One of the last Family Swim Nights at our current pool will be held on March 31, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 pm!
