Chenango Forks Dollars for Scholars Hoffman's Car Wash for a Cause Campaign: Help raise money to support the CF Dollars for Scholars program. This program grants scholarships to CF District residents who are graduating seniors, helping to pay tuition to support continuing education. The fundraiser runs through Dec. 20!

REMINDER: Holiday Basket Distribution will take place on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 4-6 p.m. at CFE. Enter through the lower level and present a valid ID. Please do not bring children to the distribution, if possible.

The Freshman Class of 2028 and Sophomore Class of 2027 are holding a Toy Sale Fundraiser, Saturday December 7, 2024- 9 a.m. until 12 Noon, held in the CFHS Cafeteria. Recently, the Broome County Sheriff’s Department visited our middle and high school students for an important safety assembly. They discussed the dangers of making or sharing online threats on social media, the consequences of such actions, and how to respond responsibly if they come across threats online.

The Class of 2027 is holding a Holiday Krispy Kreme Doughnut Fundraiser Nov. 25- Dec. 11. The deadline for order forms and money is Wednesday, Dec. 11., turned into Mrs. Giovenco in High School room 017. Doughnuts will be handed out on Wednesday Dec. 18. All money raised will be used towards class events including the Junior Prom and Senior trip. For questions, contact Mrs. Giovenco (giovencot@cforks.org).


Lexi Bartlow, a 2019 Chenango Forks graduate, recently presented to the CFHS Advanced Placement Biology class. She is majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on tissue engineering. Lexi is currently interning at Regeneron in Westchester, NY, in their Neuroscience department. She recently received a job offer to return to the same department, where she will work on discovery for neurodegenerative diseases after graduating this spring. Lexi wanted to speak to the Advanced Placement Biology class to share her experiences and give back to the Forks community.

This past weekend, seven Chenango Forks students participated in the Zone 3 Junior High Area All-State festival in Homer, NY. Students were selected based on their NYSSMA solo/ensemble festival scores from last spring and it is a great achievement to be selected.
Our students did an amazing job representing Chenango Forks throughout the Friday night rehearsal and Saturday’s performances.

This week, Chenango Forks High School held a Halloween-themed door decorating contest! In partnership with the Lourdes Student Assistance Program and in honor of Red Ribbon Week, students decorated doors with creative and spooky designs to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

RISE AND SHINE: Thank you to Mr. Tellerday for hosting our Rise and Shine Assembly for our students in grades 3-5 on Friday. The focus of this assembly was reminding our students that we are all welcome and special in our own ways and that it is important to celebrate our differences and be kind to each other.
