EAGLE SCOUT SERVICE PROJECT: Senior Ty Near decided to build three 'little free libraries' around the elementary school for his Eagle Scout Service Project. He says his inspiration came from his mother, and love for reading. His goal is to keep reading accessible to our elementary school students year-round! Thanks Ty!

ROTARY MEMBERS: Chenango Forks High School was inducted into the Nimmonsburg-Hillcrest Rotary last Friday. Athletic Department Secretary, Donna Torillo and HS Principal, Steve Tronovitch attended their meeting for the induction ceremony. High School Teacher, Jason Motell and Donna are the advisors for the HS and MS Interact Clubs that are sponsored by the Rotary. We formalized our partnership with them by becoming members!


CALLING ALL CAR OWNERS: The 4th Annual Transportation Systems Car Show will be held on May 31st with a June 2nd Rain Date.

Who can come as a spectator? Any student that attends the Chenango Forks School District may come as a spectator to enjoy the show.
Who can bring a vehicle? Anybody from the community who would like to come support the car show is welcome. Students may also bring vehicles.
How do potential guests sign up to come and show their vehicle? E-Mail Mr. Niemiec niemieca@cforks.org to register. Please contact me and I will add you to the participant list. This is important in case we must cancel for the weather and for overall planning purposes.
What types of vehicles can come? All vehicles are welcome. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, minibikes, go karts, specialized commercial vehicles, race cars, etc. If you are unsure, please contact Mr. Neimiec.

SEAL OF BILITERACY: Last week, four students from Chenango Forks High School were awarded the seal of biliteracy, with one of them receiving this recognition for the second consecutive year, bringing their total to five. The students who earned this distinction are Ashley Franta, Lillian MacRabie, Norah Mahar, Jan Parades Jaquez, and Quinn Sirgany. Congratulations to these accomplished students on their impressive achievement!

Our4th and 5th grade iready math competition has their winners for this year. Combined, the grade levels completed over 1,000 lessons in April and May. In 5th grade our winner is Mr. Castle's class. In 4th grade we had a tie between Mr. Wasecka and Mrs. Sanford. Congratulations CFE mathematicians!




Envirothon team The CF Phish (bottom photo from left to right- Liam Wood, Daniel Calisi, Lucas McPeak, Daisy Dimatos, and Kathryn White) won second place in the Broome County Envirothon Competition. They competed in areas of Soils, Wildlife, Forestry, Aquatics, and an Environmental Current Issue against other schools in the county and region!
