This week, Mrs. Doolittle’s CFHS art students visited Mrs. Sickler's classroom at CFE for a special project. First-grade students had recently created drawings of their own unique monsters. To bring their creations to life, the high school art students transformed these drawings into ceramic versions of each creature.
During the visit, the ceramic pieces were presented to the first graders, who were very excited to see the final result! This was a fun and memorable experience for all of the students.

Today, the CF Pitchforks had the pleasure of performing at the Oakdale Commons as part of Music in Our Schools Month! Under the direction of Mr. Vavalle, our talented singers shared their voices with the community, performing three wonderful musical selections.

On Saturday, March 15 several students from Chenango Forks elementary, middle, and high school showcased their original science fair projects at the Southern Tier Scholastic Science Fair held at SUNY Broome. They presented their projects to several judges from the scientific community and participated in science workshops throughout the day. They also won medals and prizes for their research and presentations!

Last night, Forks Nation came together to celebrate diversity and embrace cultures from around the world with the Chenango Forks 2025 Culture Hour & Coffee House. Students proudly showcased their own cultures and cultures they chose to study, offered delicious cultural food samples, and even had a live salsa lesson from Señora Gregrow!
The evening also explored healthy living efforts—both in our community and across the globe! Thank you to all who participated and attended!

A group of Chenango Forks seniors had the unique opportunity today to observe the New York State Court of Appeals in session at the Broome County Courthouse. They experienced an important part of the NYS Unified Court System right here in our community and participated in a Q&A session with the judges following the session.

Mr. Rosko's Contemporary Crafts class just wrapped up a project using scraps from around the art room to create unique "leftovers." From pieces that might have been discarded, students crafted something entirely new! As Mr. Rosko put it best: "Leftovers from leftovers!"

Dollars for Scholars is hosting a Spring Craft Fair on Saturday, March 15 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Chenango Forks Elementary Gym. Enjoy raffles and crafts from several different vendors, all while supporting the Class of 2025!
High school students in Mrs. Doolittle's Studio Art class have been creating incredible portraits of their favorite Chenango Forks CSD teachers and administrators. Using the grid method, these talented students focused on line, value, and texture to bring their portraits to life!

Today, the Chenango Forks High School Jazz Band had the incredible opportunity to welcome Professor Greg Evans, who teaches the Jazz Ensemble at Binghamton University, to their rehearsal!
Professor Evans shared his expertise on jazz style, improvisation, and the importance of truly hearing and feeling the music—not just playing the notes on the page.
His insights and guidance will help our students refine their sound as they prepare for next month’s Jazz Cabaret.
A huge thank you to Professor Evans for taking this time to invest in our student musicians!
Chenango Forks High School juniors Mari Pourby, Kaden Schultze and Jaime Prince recently had the opportunity to participate in the Hatala Orthodontics Groundhog Shadow Day. They were given an up-close look at the world of orthodontics by job shadowing Dr. Pat. This was a wonderful opportunity to inform and inspire students to pursue careers in the dental field. Thank Halata Orthodontics for providing this opportunity for our students!
