
STEM PATHWAYS EVENT: It's National Engineers Week, and SUNY Broome is marking the occasion by hosting a STEM Pathways Career Exploration Night! Middle school students, along with their parents and teachers, are invited to campus from 5 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22. The event will take place in the Applied Technologies Building on the SUNY Broome Community College campus!

RECIPE CONTEST: Congratulations to Emily Phelps for the winning the Recipe Illustration Contest! Broome Cornell Cooperative Extension chose Emily as the winner and invited Emily as well as her Nonna to come cook their recipe in the commercial kitchen. Keep an eye out for the story on NC 34 on March 5th!


CR CLUB RAFFLE: Looking for some sweet Costa Rican treats this winter? Look no further than the CF Costa Rica Club's basket raffle! The basket will be at El Pulpo or people can see a Costa Rica club member for tickets!


VEX IQ TOURNAMENT: Mr. Ramsden’s MS Technology and Engineering Club attended the Morgan Road VEX IQ Tournament in Liverpool NY on Saturday.
Maya Padmanabhan and Logan Morgan teamed up to place 4th in the skills competition including the second highest programing score. This finish earned them an automatic berth in the NYS Championships in on March 9th!



PRESIDENT'S DAY: Originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, the holiday became popularly known as Presidents' Day after it was moved as part of 1971’s Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nation’s workers.


SRO APPRECIATION: Students in the CFE created pieces of gratitude for our SRO's during their appreciation day!




HEALTHY HEART NIGHT: Thank you to all of our students, parents, and of course the 'CFE Dream Team' for helping make another Healthy Heart Night a success!



CULTURAL COFFEE HOUSE: Join Chenango Forks High School for a night of performances, treats and conversations from around the world!

100 DAYS OF SCHOOL: In addition to Valentine's Day, our students and staff also celebrated Chenango Forks' 100th Day of School yesterday!


POSITIVITY BOARD: Mrs. Johnson's class created a bulletin board filled with positive quotes from authors they enjoy reading from! The class hopes that other students walking through the halls can read and reflect on some positivity!

PTO BOOK FAIR: Some of our third-grade friends enjoying the PTO Scholastic Book Fair! We love the enthusiasm for reading that our students have!

MARDI GRAS: Students in Madame Dimatos' French Class celebrated Mardi Gras today! Complete with trivia, a lesson on traditions celebrated in French-speaking countries around the world, and of course, King Cake!

AG IN THE CLASSROOM: Our second-grade friends at CFE were able to make some unique Valentine's Day Cards through our Ag in the Classroom program this week! They made designs stamped to pages using different kinds of vegetables and fruits! Can anyone guess what the 'heart' dye was made out of?


RISE AND SHINE: Thank you to Mrs. Slater for leading our Rise and Shine assembly today for our 4th and 5th grade students. The focus of this assembly was to not judge a book by its cover. Mrs. Slater talked with students about not judging someone by the way they look, instead get to know people, and find out who they are on the inside. Congratulations to our shout outs from 4th and 5th grade!
